Collaborative Ambition

A home fragrance startup was met with a unique challenge - growing their brand at the onset of Covid.

 

Our collaboration started with exploratory in-depth interviews to understand how consumers were seeking ways to elevate their living spaces and their well-being.

The goal was to leverage their scientific education and beauty industry background, understand their customer, and expand their reach from craft market distribution to national prestige retailers.

Insights to Action

Synthesizing the research findings, the startup was able to better position themselves with clear understandings about their consumer, the fragrance category, and their unique place within it. They created precise, emotionally resonant email marketing with research-driven personas. 

Our B2B sales insights identified channel opportunities per category, with opportunities to capitalize on e-commerce and merchant distribution with data-backed sales strategies.  Additionally, they elevated investor confidence through professional presentation coaching and a compelling, insight-driven pitch deck.

Through concept testing, the team developed strategy linked to fragrance concepts with demonstrated purchase intent. 

In the time of our collaboration, it has been wonderful to celebrate their brand growth from indie to national retail distribution with 250 retailers including Holt Renfrew and Anthropologie.
